Dia Michelle is an Idaho-Californian with a gypsy soul. She her spent the past 8 years living around the world, breathing in the wonders of faraway lands, and discovering just how interconnected we all are. She aspires to help people from all over the world discover their inner universe, and all of the miracles and answers that lie therein. Everyone is capable of manifesting their soul’s destiny, and Dia is passionate about assisting in the process.
Her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Master’s Degree in Counseling, and 10 years working in the therapeutic field fostered her ability to guide others on their path to self-healing and empowerment. During these years of experience, she discovered what lacked within the world was self-love, self-compassion, and an innate sense of worthiness. When Yoga and Meditation began to transform her own life, she realized this combination was the perfect bridge connecting traditional counseling with a more experiential approach; the trifecta providing a magical tonic for inner peace, clarity, wellness, and vitality.
Naturally, she dove into Yoga Teacher Trainings around the globe ~ in South Africa (RYT200 with Cheryl Lancellas), Indonesia (Rainbow Kid’s Yoga training), India (RYT 500 with Yogi Sivadas at Kailash Tribal School), and the USA (Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy). While in India, she immersed herself into studying the subtler aspects of healing, including: Reiki, Crystal Healing, Chakra Healing, Psychic Surgery, Sound Healing, Breathwork, Tarot, Soul Planning, and Yoga Nidra. The deeper she went, the more she discovered the inter-connectedness of everything; she realized the countless healing methodologies all lead back to the same healing Source within each of us.To Dia, Yoga is pure magic. Initially experienced through the ease in her chronic back and neck pain, it led her into a journey of Spiritual Awakening, which continues to this day.
Dia’s wide array of influential exposure includes work with Suzanne Sterling, Sara Campbell, and Noah Mazé. Her teaching style is greatly influenced by some of her most inspirational yogini sisters, including Kathryn Budig, Seane Corn, and Shiva Rea.
Dia has experience working with all ages and many cultures in Indonesia, Egypt, Thailand, and India, in traditions like Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Kundalini, and Live-Music Yoga. She loves taking what she learns and molding it to the needs of others ~ none of her Yoga classes look the same. She refers to this as a “Freedom Yoga” approach, tailored toward each individual, empowering them to discover and honor the teacher that resides within. For it is in that space that true healing and divine purpose are found.
